Note: Johnston (1969) showed that Neoparholaspulus Krantz, 1960 View in CoL is a junior synonym of Holaspina Berlese, 1916 View in CoL , and we have accepted that decision here. Johnston also referred to unpublished evidence suggesting that Parholaspulus Evans, 1956 View in CoL is a synonym of Holaspina View in CoL but, in the absence of that evidence, we here treat Parholaspulus View in CoL as a valid genus. The genital shield and ventrianal shield are fused in Holaspina View in CoL , but separate in Parholaspulus View in CoL .
