Specimens examined. 1 ♀, Abha, 4. vii. 1983, sweeping, A.S. Talhouk (Basel Museum).

Distribution. This is first record from Saudi Arabia and Arabian Peninsula. It was described from Egypt (Island Philae on the river Nile) and further recorded from the Afrotropical Region: Cameroon, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Namibia and Sudan; Australasian/Oceanian: Australia (Queensland); Oriental Region: China, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam; Palaearctic Region: Egypt, Israel and Japan. There are some specimens of O. isis in NMWC collected from Nigeria and Yemen.

Remarks: The above specimen was identified by Dr John Deeming for the Basel Museum (J.C. Deeming; pers. comm.).
