Specimens examined. 1 ♀, Asir, Karatha, Al-Ethrebany Fruit Farm , 19. ii. 2014, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah ( NMWC) ; 1 ♂, 1 ♀, Asir, Al-Souda, Al-Muqtha Dam , 30. v. 2014, Sweeping, H.A. Dawah ( CERS) .

Distribution. This is the first record from Saudi Arabia. This species was described from Malta (as “Melita”, by lectotype des. Clausen 1979: 141). It is widespread in the Palaearctic Region: Algeria, Azores, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Egypt, Great Britain, Greece, Iran, Israel, Italy, Malta, Morocco, Spain, Turkey and Turkmenistan; Afrotropical Region: United Arab Emirates.
