Banded Flyingfish, Bladewing Flyingfish, or Whitewing Flyingfish. To 24.7 cm (9.7 in) SL (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Central Baja California (28°53’N, 115°53’W) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California) to at least Peru ( Chirichigno 1974) , including Islas Galápagos ( Grove and Lavenberg 1997). Surface to 5 m (17 ft) ( Robertson and Allen 2002).
