Posterior tarsi distinctly less than half of tibiae. Body length: 3.2−4.0 mm. Aedeagus short, with median lobe strongly converging toward apex, with wide parameres significantly longer than apex of aedeagus ( Zanetti, 1987: 341, Fig. e, f)......................................................... L. (Lestevidia) punctata Erichson View in CoL

- Pronotum not bordered at sides. Antennomeres longer. Punctation of forebody finer. Abdomen dull. Posterior tarsi half long as tibiae. Aedeagus longer and narrower, with wider median lobe and narrower parameres............................ 2

2 Punctation of forebody coarser. Antenna as in Fig. 7 View FIGURES 4–11 . Tarsomere V of metatarsi longer than tarsomere I. Elytra with straight hind margins. Head and pronotum dark brown to black; elytra dark brown to black, frequently with red brown lateral and hind margins. Body length: 3.3−4.7 mm. Aedeagus with median keel ( Fig. 33−41 View FIGURES 33–41 ).. L. (s.str.) longoelytata longoelytrata (Goeze) View in CoL

- Punctation of forebody significantly finer. Tarsomere V of metatarsi shorter or as long as tarsomere I. Elytra with widely rounded hind margins. Aedeagus without median keel........................................................ 3

3 Antennomeres significantly longer ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 4–11 ). Forebody and abdomen brown; antennae, mouthparts, ocelli, legs and apical margins of abdominal tergites VII−VIII yellow brown; tarsi and antennomere XI yellow. Body larger: 5.75 mm. Aedeagus as in Figs. 1–3........................................................................ L View in CoL View FIGURES 1–3 . (s.str.) antennata sp.n.

- Antennomeres shorter. Forebody darker (brown to black), sometimes with yellow to red brown maculae on each elytron. Body smaller............................................................................................. 4

4 Punctation of head and abdomen denser and smaller. Dark brown, legs red brown. Antenna as in Fig. 9 View FIGURES 4–11 . Aedeagus short and wide ( Jarrige, 1971: 487, Fig. 6 View FIGURES 4–11 )...................................................... L. (s.str.) morvani Jarrige View in CoL

- Punctation of head and abdomen sparser, punctures moderately larger. Brown to black, with or without yellow-brown maculae on each elytron. Aedeagus longer and narrower............................................................. 5

5 Tarsomere I of metatarsus as long as the combined length of tarsomeres II−III..................................... 6

- Tarsomere I of metatarsus shorter than the combined length of tarsomeres II−III................................... 7

6 Apex of aedeagus evenly narrowed in apical third; parameres significantly longer than apex of aedeagus ( Figs. 27–29 View FIGURES 27–29 ). Forebody brown to black; each elytron often with distinct yellow brown to red brown elongate macula in anterior third ( Fig. 12–19 View FIGURES 12–20 ); mouthparts and tarsi yellow.
