This recently described species was previously known from Alabama, Missouri, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin ( Otto et al 2014) and reported here for the first time in Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Georgia, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and West Virginia. Specimens were taken from a fermenting sugar trap, a black bottle trap baited with ethanol lure, a clear bottle trap baited with fermenting fruit, a purple sticky trap, black panel trap baited with EtOH, swept from vegetation, at lights, beaten from a dead branch, Lindgren funnel traps, intercept panel traps, cross vane traps and a translucent cross vane panel trap.
