Remarks. The single specimen of this widespread species presents an interesting new record for India (viz. Apel & Spiridinov 1998). Galil et al. (2018) recently reappraised the taxonomy of Thalamita giardi Nobili, 1905 , an Indian Ocean species long synonymized under G. paucidentatus , and showed that it to be a valid species. The shape of the frontal margin of the present specimen, however, indicates that the present specimen is G. paucidentatus .
