Diagnosis: A genus of the tribe Pericomaini , head with eye bridge of 4 facets, distance between eyes 3–4 facet diameters; antenna with scape, pedicel and 14 barrel-shaped flagellomeres; head and thorax without scent or ornamental organs; wing tip between R 4 and R 5; terminalia with tubular gonocoxites, gonostyli slightly bent, abruptly thinner in distal half, epandrium rectangular with a pair of pseudospiracular openings, epandrial appendages with two large unequally sized tenacula arranged in line; aedeagus with dorsoventrally flattened ejaculatory apodeme; apical part of ejaculatory apodeme and gonocoxal bridge connected by a V-shaped sclerite with ball-and-socket articulation.
Type-species: Heteroberdeniella jaramensis (Wagner) , comb. nov.
Species included: Heteroberdeniella guadarramica spec. nov.
Etymology: Hetero (gr.) for other, unlike, dissimilar and Berdeniella .
