Female: (n=3) Body fusiform, 152 long, shield 41 long, 54 wide, shield lobe present, shield design with median line and admedian lines complete, sinuous, admedian lines diverging to rear, connected by transverse line at basal 2/3, extending to lateral margin, the transverse line with 4 forked lines directed anteriorly, with a triangular shaped cell at half, with 3 transverse lines between median line and admedian lines, 1 each at the basal 1/5, 1/ 2 and 3/4, submedian line absent; scapular tubercle and setae absent. Leg: leg segments normal, Leg I 44 long, femur 9 long, femoral seta (bv) 10 long, genu 5 long, genual seta l ´´12 long, fore tibia 5 long, tibial seta (1´) set at half, 4 long, tarsus 6 long, lateral seta (ft ´´) 7 long, dorsal seta (ft ´) 3 long, solenidion 5 long, ending as knob, empodium simple, 8­rayed, 6 long. Leg II 35 long, femur 7 long, femoral seta 11 long, genu 3 long, genual setae 16 long, tibia 3 long, tarsus 3 long, lateral seta 10 long, dorsal seta 3 long, hind solenidion 8 long, empodium 8­rayed, 4 long; coxal area smooth, 1st coxal setae (1b) 6 long, Ct1­Ct1 9 apart, 2nd coxal setae (1a) 18 long, Ct2­Ct2 8 apart, 3rd coxal setae (2a) 18 long, Ct3­Ct3 25 apart, Ct1\Ct2 10, Ct1­Ct2 7, Ct2\Ct3 16, Ct2­Ct3 9.

Opisthosoma: arched, dorsum with 42 annuli, microtuberculate; ventrally with 50 microtuberculate annuli, first 3 dorsal annuli 7 long; lateral setae (c2) absent; 1st ventral setae (d) 28 long, Vt1\Vt2 40, Vt1­Vt2 28; 2nd ventral setae (e) 8 long, Vt2­Vt2 21 apart, Vt2\Vt3 47, Vt2­Vt3 44; 3rd ventral setae (f) 18 long, Vt3­Vt3 17 apart; accessory setae (h1) absent, caudal seta (h2) 31 long.

Coverflap: 21 wide, 11 long, with about 9 longitudinal ridges, genital setae (3a) 10, Gt­Gt 18 apart.

Male: not seen.

Type data: Holotype, female, NANTOU: Renai Township; 2­Nov.­1990, K. W. Huang; ex Pericampylus formosanus Diels (Menispermaceae) . (deposited at NMNS). Paratypes, 2 females, with same data as holotype.

Relation to host: A vagrant on the lower leaf surface. No apparent damage was observed.

Etymology: This new name means “triangular” in reference to the shield design with a triangular shape cell at each sides.

Jutarus pasanus sp. nov. ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 )

Female: (n=3) Body fusiform, 160 long, shield 38 long, 58 wide, shield lobe present, shield design with median line and admedian lines complete, subparallel, with 3 transverse lines between median line and admedian lines, 1 each at the basal 1/5, 1/3 and 2/3, the transverse line at basal 2/3 directed to lateral sides, with submedian lines complete, converging to anterior, with 2 transverse lines connected to admedian lines, with a forked line connected to transverse lines at basal 2/3; scapular tubercle and setae absent. Leg: leg segments normal, Leg I 39 long, femur 8 long, femoral seta (bv) 9 long, genu 5 long, genual seta l ´´23 long, fore tibia 6 long, tibial seta (1´) set at basal 1/3, 6 long, tarsus 5 long, lateral seta (ft ´´) 10 long, dorsal seta (ft ´) 3 long, solenidion 6 long, ending as knob, empodium simple, 6­rayed, 5 long. Leg II 34 long, femur 7 long, femoral seta 18 long, genu 4 long, genual setae absent, tibia 5 long, tarsus 5 long, lateral seta 11 long, dorsal seta 3 long, hind solenidion 8 long, empodium 6­rayed, 5 long; coxal area smooth, fore coxal sternal line absent, 1st coxal setae (1b) 6 long, Ct1­Ct1 10 apart, 2nd coxal setae (1a) 13 long, Ct2­Ct2 13 apart, 3rd coxal setae (2a) 30 long, Ct3­Ct3 27 apart, Ct1\Ct2 13, Ct1­Ct2 6, Ct2\Ct3 21, Ct2­Ct3 9.

Opisthosoma: arched, dorsum annuli with 39 annuli dashed microtuberculate; ventrally with 54 microtuberculate annuli, first 3 dorsal annuli 7 long; lateral setae (c2) 18 long, Lt­Lt 62 apart, Lt\Vt1 58, Lt­Vt1 24; 1st ventral setae (d) 47 long, Vt1\Vt2 41, Vt1­ Vt2 23; 2nd ventral setae (e) 8 long, Vt2­Vt2 25 apart, Vt2\Vt3 58, Vt2­Vt3 53; 3rd ventral setae (f) 20 long, Vt3­Vt3 20 apart; accessory setae (h1) absent, caudal seta (h2) 47 long.

Coverflap: 23 wide, 11 long, with about 16 longitudinal ridges, genital setae (3a) 12, Gt­Gt 14 apart.

Relation to host: A vagrant on the lower leaf surface. No apparent damage was observed.

Note: This new species is close to Jutarus benjaminae Boczek et Chandrapatya, 1989 differing in the submedian lines complete and by the 6 rayed empodium.
