Material examined. Holotype: male, RUSSIA, Zabaykalsky Krai [Chita Region]: Nizhniy Tsasuchey, pine forest, 16.vii.1990, leg. A. Kotenko (deposited in: SIZK).
Diagnosis. Exochus similis is similar to E. karazini , but has face with a small triangular yellow mark; all coxae, trochanters and trochantelli black, and hind tibia orange, fuscous apically.
Distribution. Currently known from Ukraine and East of Russia ( Tolkanitz 2007a).
