Type material: Paratypes: deposited in SMF, catalogue numbers 45001-1691-VIE/174 and 45002-1693-VIE/174 ( GBIF 2022) .
Type locality: Norway: Lister-spring close to Vanse Kirche ( Thor 1900) .
Geographical distribution: Holarctic ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010).
Distribution in Portugal: Madeira, In Moinhos-Ribeiro Frio ( GBIF 2022).
Ecological notes: Freshwater, springs, flowing and standing water bodies; also found in eutrophic waters ( Van Der Hammen & Smit 1996; Di Sabatino et al. 2010).
