Synonyms: Hygrobates cometes Koch, 1837 (original designation); Teutonia primaria Koenike, 1889
Type material: Unknown, possibly lost.
Type locality: Germany, in Lake Issinger Weiher , close to Regensburg municipality ( Koch 1837) .
Geographical distribution: Palaearctic ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010).
Distribution in Portugal: South: Estremadura ( Valdecasas 1988), in Colares, Sintra municipality ( Lundblad 1956).
Ecological notes: In cold lakes and shaded tributaries ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010), covered with Azolla spp. ( Lundblad 1956) .
