Setalarrangementbehindclitellum: aa: ab: bc: cd: dd = 1.57:1.29:1.19:1:1.95. Maleporeshardlyseenonsegment 15. Nephridialporesjustabove setalline b. Clitellumonsegments 25–30. Tuberculapubertatisonsegments ½ 25–½ 29. Glandulartumescenceonsegments 10, 11, 26, 29, 30 ab.
Internalcharacters. Septa 6/7–7/8 and 11/12 slightlythickened, 8/9–10/11 thickened, 12/13–14/15 stronglythickened. Testesandfunnelspairedinsegments 10–11, coveredby perioesophagealtestissacinsegment 10–11. Fourpairsofseminalvesiclesin 9–12. Two pairsofspermathecaein 9/10,10/11 witheXternalopeningsinsetalline d. Calciferous glandswithwell-developeddiverticulainsegment 11. Pairedheartsappearinsegments 7–11. withapairofsmalleXtraoesophagealvesselsin 12. Nephridialbladdersbiscuit- shaped. Cropinsegments 15–16, andgizzardinsegments 17–18. Typhlosolisunilobous. Thecross- sectionofthelongitudinalmusclelayerisofpinnatetype.
Remarks. Wehaveonlyonespecimenfromthisenigmaticspecies. Pheneti- callyitlooksbelongingtothe Fitzingeriaplatyura group, however, ithasmalepores onsegment 15. Accordingtothepositionoftheclitellarorgansitcanbelongtothe D. byblica compleX, howeveritismuchlargerthananyspeciesinthisgroupand furthermoreithaswelldevelopedcalciferousglandsin 11 andstronglythickened septa in 12/13–14/15. Both characters are typical for F. platyura .
Apartfromthemalepores’ positionthemaindifferencesbetween Dendrobaena sp. and the three subspecies of F. platyura are summarized in Table 2.
