General distribution. Europe: Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Ukraine; West Asia: Caucasus, Cyprus, Palestine, Syria, Turkestan, Turkey (Zapparoli 2002; Bonato et al. 2011).
Chorotype. East Mediterranean.
Habitats. Maquis and phryganic formations with Pistacia , Cistus and Ceratonia , Pinus forests, cultivation with vineyard, Olea vegetation, Platanus orientalis , mixed forest with Pinus , Quercus and Acer , ravines with Platanus , Juniperus and Quercus , pastures.
Altitudinal range: 5–1920 m.
Range of leg pairs recorded in Cyprus. 63–73 (3) and 65–75 (ƤƤ).
Remarks. Previously known only from Mount Olympos (Troodos Mt.) ( Turk 1956: 657).
