Companilactobacillus formosensis (for.mo.sen’sis. N.L. masc. adj. formosensis of or pertaining to Formosa [Taiwan] where the type strain was isolated).
Basonym: Lactobacillus formosensis Chang et al. 2015 , 105 VP
Growth is observed between 25 and 45°C but not at 10 °C; hexoses anddisaccharides are fermented; pentoses are not fermented [ 123]. The genome size is 2.47 Mbp. The mol% G+C content of DNAis 35.5.
Isolatedfrom fermented soybean meal for useas poultry feed; it has been used experimentally as silage inoculant.
