Apanteles chloris Nixon, 1965: 77 View in CoL . Holotype ♀ — Mindanao , Philippines [USNM].

Apanteles cornicula Chen & Song, 2004: 40 View in CoL . Syn. nov.

Diagnosis. Body length 2.5 mm, fore wing length 2.9 mm. Body black, hind femur yellow. Ocelli not large, posterior tangent to anterior ocellus not touching posterior ocelli, distance between fore and hind ocellus as long as diameter of hind ocellus. Antenna slightly shorter than body length, penultimate flagellomere 1.7× longer than wide. Pronotum strongly rugose at posterior end of notaulic courses. Interspaces between punctures on disc of mesonotum distinctly smaller than its diameter.Areola on propodeum smooth, closed with strong costulae, posterior lateral parts with some irregular carinae. Pterostigma, 3.1× as long as its widest part, vein 1-R1 1.3× longer than pterostigma, vein r 1.8× longer than vein 2-SR, weakly angled at junction. T1 parallel-sided, 1.5× longer than hind width, turnedover part dull, strongly rugose-punctate, longitudinal channel shallow; T2 shiny and nearly polished, 4.5× wider than long in the middle; T3 2.0× longer than T2. Ovipositor sheath as long as hind tibia.

Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangdong, Guizhou, Zhejiang); Philippines, Vietnam.

Remarks. We were not able to examine the specimens of Apanteles cornicula Chen & Song (FJAU). However, based on the description and imagines in 2004, the diagnosis features including yellow apical part of hind coxa, slender antenna, parallel-sided T1, and indefinite costulae and rugosity on propodeum definitely attribute to Apanteles chloris Nixon, 1965 .
