Comments. This species is very distinct from others that occur in the region. The rostral prong is short and strongly rounded at apex, resembling superficially that of B. incompta ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 27 – 37. 27 – 29 ), although the rostral prong of B. fuscipennis is more robust and shorter than the third rostral segment ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 13 – 26. 13 – 17 ).The rostral prong is slender and a little longer than the third rostral segment in B. incompta .

Material. BRAZIL: Estado do Pará, Município de Canaã dos Carajás, FLONA de Carajás, Serra Sul, Lagoa S11D-F [6.399131ºS / 50.371536ºW], 17.XI.2010 (P. Marinho & A.P.F. Pires), det. J. F. Barbosa: 16 m and 3 f macropterous (DZRJ); 20.IV.2011 (R. L. Bozelli & P. Marinho): 5 m macropterous (DZRJ).
