Material examined. China: 1♂, Jianfeng town, (18º69’N, 108°78’E), Ledong , Hainan province, alt. 40 m, 30.IV.2014, leg. Tengteng Liu, Wei Guan and Xuemei Hu ; 1♂, Is. Hebao (21º86’N, 113°17’E), Zhuhai , Guangdong Province, alt. 30 m, 18.V.2010, leg. Bingbing Hu and Jing Zhang.

Distribution. China (Hainan, Guangdong), Indonesia.

Remarks. This species resembles S. inodes ( Meyrick, 1911) in the male genitalia, but it can be separated from the latter by the truncate apex of the valva and cornuti consisting of a sheaf of short, weak spines. In S. inodes , the valva is rounded apically and the cornuti consist of a sheaf of long spines.

Note. This species is newly recorded from China.
