Pandeleteius View in CoL is the most diverse New World genus of tanymecines, with almost 200 species ranging from southern Canada to southern Chile and Argentina ( Howden 2011) of which 38 species are recorded from Mexico. The relationships among Pandeleteius (Pandeleteius) View in CoL , Pandeleteius (Exmenetypus) View in CoL and Airosimus View in CoL need to be evaluated. To separate Mexican species, see Champion (1911) and Howden (1959, 1986, 1998). The biology of some of these species is available in Howden (1959, 1970, 1993a, 1996).
