Remarks. It is new to the fauna of Greece (see comprehensive work of Tierno de Figueroa & Fochetti 2001, and Pardo & Zwick 2004, Ravizza 2002, Sivec 1997, Tierno de Figueroa & Fochetti 2007). It was recently recorded from the rivers Raba and Lafnitz in the Carpathian Basin ( Graf 1997, under the name Besdolus cf. imhoffi , see Kovács et al. 2004; Kovács & Ambrus 2001). Earlier data are from the 1910s ( Zwick & Weinzierl 1995).
