Hypseloecus phuvasae sp. nov.

Diagnosis. Readily recognized by its medium size; coffee brown basic coloration; darkened antennal segments I and II ( Table 1 View TABLE 1. A ); short labium; wholly whitish meso- and metacoxae; and typical femoral color pattern ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ).
Description. Female. COLORATION AND VESTITURE: Body generally coffee brown, with densely distributed, reclining to semierect scalelike setae; dorsal surface weakly shining, with paler margin of scutellum, posterior margin of corium and lateral margin of cuneus. Head chestnut brown, weakly shining, with a pair of whitish brown stripes along inner margin of eyes. Antennal segments I and II darkened as in Table 1 View TABLE 1. A ; segments III and IV dark brown, with yellow extreme bases. Labium shiny reddish brown, short, not exceeding apex of mesocoxa. Pleura as in Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ; ostiolar peritreme yellowish white, triangular ( Table 1 View TABLE 1. A ). Lateral margin of hemelytron narrowly tinged with red; membrane smoky brown, with pale veins and median maculae. Color pattern of legs as in Fig.7 View FIGURE 7 ; meso- and metafemora dark brown, each with whitish median potion; each tibia with reddish brown annulations or spots. Abdomen somber brown, densely covered with reclining, scalelike setae. STRUCTURE: As in generic description (see Schuh & Menard, 2011). Male. Unknown.
Measurements. ♀: Total body length 2.6−2.7; length from apex of clypeus to cuneal fracture 2.07−2.09; width of head across eyes 0.86−0.92; head height 0.62−0.66; width of vertex 0.42−0.45; lengths of antennal segments I −IV 0.21−0.24, 0.78−0.84, 0.43−0.48, 0.37−0.39; basal width of pronotum 1.28−1.30; maximum width across hemelytron 1.51−1.54; and length of metatibia 1.36−1.42.
Etymology. Named after Phuvasa Chanonmuang who always supports our research activities in SERS.
Biology. Unknown; a bivoltine life cycle is assumed for this new species.
