Type material. Agrilus aurigaster Jendek, 2011 . Described from 3 specimens (Holotype & paratypes). Type locality: “ China, Yunnan province, Gaoligong mts., 25°22’N, 98°49’E, altitude 1500-2500 m ”. Type specimens: Holotype ♂ ( EJCB): “ Yunnan, 1500-2500 m, 25°22’N, 98°49’E, 17-24 / 5 Gaoligong mts , Vít Kubáň leg., 1995”. Paratypes: 1 ♀ PT ( CNC) GoogleMaps 1 ♀ PT ( EJCB) .

Examined specimens. CHINA. Yunnan. Gaoligong mts.; 25°22‘N, 098°49‘E; 5-1995; alt. 1500-2500 m; Holotype ♂, 1 ♀ PT ( EJCB) ( Jendek & Grebennikov 2011). LAOS. Houaphan. Ban Saleuy, Phou Pan-Gnai; 20°12’N, 104°01’E; 4, 5-2010; alt. 1300-1900 m; 2 ( USNM) ( Jendek 2016b), 2 ♂, 2 ♀ ( EJCB) \\ Ban Saleuy, Phou Pan-Gnai; 20°12’30”N, 104°00’E; 6-2011; alt. 1340-1870 m; 1 ♀ ( EJCB) \\ Phou Pan-Gnai; 20°13’N, 104°00’E; 6-2009; alt. 1480-1550 m; 1 ♂ ( EJCB). MYANMAR. Shan. Taunggyi; 20°37‘46”N, 096°33’59”E; 6-1997; 1 ♀ PT ( EJCB) ( Jendek & Grebennikov 2011).

Distribution. CHINA: Yunnan; LAOS: Houaphan; MYANMAR: Shan.

Host plant. Unknown.

Remarks. The species is very distinctive in having a golden-orange metathorax and abdomen ( Fig. 1D View FIGURES 1 ).
