Description, male. Body length 3.69 mm. Head and mesosoma black; wings clear hyaline; metasoma castaneous. Head long. Flagellomeres short, serrate, with sparse and long setae. Mandible very narrow, curved, with teeth equally wide. Median clypeal lobe angulate, long; median clypeal carina higher than frons level. Frons coriaceous . Antennal scrobe ecarinate. Eye large, circumocular suture present. Frontal angle of ocellae forming right angle; ocelli large. Vertex convex. Pronotal disc shorter than wide, strongly coriaceous ; transverse pronotal carina complete; with posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus very narrow. Mesoscutellar sulcus narrow; posterior mesoscutellar sulcus present. Metapectal-propodeal disc long; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges present; metapostnotal-propodeal suture straight; paraspiracular carina present and conspicuous; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc with short striae; propodeal declivity strigate. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea closed; lower fovea closed; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture opened. Forewing with stigma developed; Rs&M vein distinguished. Mesotibia not spinose. Claws bifid. Metasomal segments sparsely setose. Genitalia. Basiparamere shorter than paramere; paramere wide, rounded, with ventral margin convex and dorsal arm straight, sparsely setose; basivolsella straight; cuspis with arms very short, with arms hardly distinct each other, dorsal arm wide; aedeagus with basal portion distinct angled and wide, and apical portion as long as basal and very wide; apodeme slender.

Paratype (1). BRAZIL, Paraná, 1 ♂, Jundiaí do Sul, Fazenda Monte Verde, 30.xi.1987, Lev [antamento] Ent [omológico] Profaupar , [armadilha] Malaise ( DZUP) .
Distribution. Brazil: Paraná.
Remarks. This new species differs from A. venustus by having the mandible very narrow; the antenna serrate, not elongate, and with long setae; the clypeus with the clypeal carina higher than frons level; the circumocular suture present; the metapectal-propodeal complex longer than wide; the mesopleuron with the lower fovea closed; the metasomal segments sparsely setose; the paramere wide; the basivolsella straight; the cuspis with the arms very short; and the aedeagus with the basal portion angled and wide, the apical portion very wide and as long as the basal portion, whereas A. venustus has the mandible narrow; the antenna not elongate, filiform, and with short setae; the clypeus with the clypeal carina lower than frons level; the circumocular suture absent; the metapectalpropodeal disc long; the mesopleuron with the lower fovea opened; the metasomal segments glabrous; the paramere slender; the basivolsella with a projection at the basal portion of the inner margin; the cuspis with long arms; and the aedeagus with the basal portion convex and slender, and the apical portion slender and longer than the basal portion.
