Remarks. This species differs from A. cubiceps by having the mandible with the superior teeth well defined and the lower tooth longer than the other teeth; the clypeus rounded, short, and with the clypeal carina hardly distinct from the clypeus; the frons with a frontal process; the ocellar triangle with the anterior angle acute; the ocelli very small; the vertex strongly convex; the transverse pronotal carina present; the notaulus narrow; the metapostnotum without a longitudinal ridge; and the mesopleural fovea opened, whereas A. cubiceps has the mandible with the five distal teeth wide and hardly distinct; the clypeus angulate, very short, and with the clypeal carina distinct from the clypeus; the frons without a frontal process; the ocellar triangle with the anterior angle right; the ocelli large; the vertex straight; the transverse pronotal carina absent; the notaulus very narrow; the metapostnotum with a longitudinal ridge; and the mesopleural fovea closed.
