Diagnosis. Frontal rostrum flat, depressed dorsoventrally; apical segment of maxillary palpus relatively long but shorter than subapical segment; pronotum slightly broader in prozona than in metazona; pronotum with rather low lateral lobe; large thoracic foramen not covered by pronotal lateral lobe; humeral sinus indistinct; male with very short styli (in some species of this genus, styli are normal, not very short) and without subanal plate ( Jin & Yamasaki, 1995).
