1. Species listed by Rondani (1874a), but not collected or observed since. It may well have become extinct on the islands.

2. Listed in Zuska & Pont (1984), but no traceable records or recent specimens were found. It is plausible that this species previously occurred on Malta.

3. Although a widespread and common species, it has not been found since Zetterstedt’s record and a misidentification is considered likely ( Ebejer 2021e).
