Host and locality in Australia: Petraeca leggi, northern Australia, Malurus melanocephalus , Queensland ( Bonnet 1924a).
Current name of host: Scarlet Robin, Petroica boodang leggi Sharpe, 1879 ( Passeriformes : Petroicidae ); Redbacked Fairywren, Malurus melanocephalus (Latham, 1801) ( Passeriformes : Maluridae ).
Notes: Bonnet’s host record of “ Petraeca leggi ” in northern Australia is not consistent with the distribution of Petroica boodang leggi in Tasmania.
