Host and locality in Australia: Ornithoica exilis ( Diptera : Hippoboscidae ) on Dacelo novaeguineae , North Queensland ( Philips & Fain 1991).
Current name of host: Laughing Kookaburra, Dacelo novaeguineae (Hermann, 1783) ( Coraciiformes : Alcedinidae ).
