Note: The original spelling of the type genus of this family was Kytodites Mégnin, 1877 . Domrow (1992) restored the original spelling of the genus name and established the consequent spelling of the family name Kytoditidae . Cytodites and Cytoditidae are frequently used as incorrect spellings of the genus and family names.
