Die südeuropäische Art ist in Mitteleuropa sehr selten. Sie lebt hier nur in warmtrockenen Gebieten und entwickelt sich in Raupen des Weissfleck-Widderchen (Syntomis phegea).

FRANZ (1989) nennt einen historischen Fund von Strobl für die Steiermark (Mürzhofen), HERTING (1994) erwähnt einen Nachweis für das Burgenland.
