Material examined. Unmeasured males and females, USNM 1081597, USNM 1081598, USNM 1081599. Diagnosis based on description by Thomas & Klebba (2006).
Diagnosis. Gnathopod 1 propodus palm strongly serrate. Gnathopod 2 carpus serrate, expanded distally; propodus palm with two large projections. Epimeron 1 with anteroventral tuft of setae.
Female (sexually dimorphic characters). Gnathopod 2 carpus anterior margin smooth; propodus with three secondary mediofacial setae, palm smooth.
Habitat. Coral reefs; 1–20 m.
Host. Sponges: Callyspongia vaginalis , Amphimedon compressa Duchassaing & Michelotti, 1864 , Iotrochota birotulata ( Higgin, 1877) , Niphates digitalis Lamarck, 1814 , N. erecta Duchassaing & Michelotti, 1864 , Pseudoceratina crassa ( Hyatt, 1875) , and Tedania ignis Duchassaing & Michelotti, 1864 .
Distribution. Western Atlantic Ocean: Southeast Florida, Florida Keys ( Thomas & Klebba 2006). Caribbean Sea: Belize, Roatan, Panama, Bahamas, Vieques, Puerto Rico ( Thomas & Klebba 2006), Panama ( White 2011).
