Type locality and specimens. Punta Pedernales , Isla de la Juventud, Cuba. Holotype, female, 2.1 mm, USNM 266424 About USNM ; unmeasured paratype, USNM 266436 About USNM .
Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on description by Thomas & Ortiz (1995).
Diagnosis (female). Maxilliped outer plate tuberculate. Gnathopod 2 carpus distal margin with rounded cusps; propodus distal margin with blade-like process, palm sub-rectangular with embedded truncate spines; dactylus proximal margin dentate. Telson apex with strong point.
Male (sexually dimorphic characters). Gnathopod 2 carpus distally tapered; propodus palm slightly more oblique.
Habitat. Coral reefs, fine sand; 5– 50 m.
Host. Unknown.
Distribution. Western Atlantic Ocean: Cuba, Florida Keys ( Thomas & Ortiz 1995), Brazil ( Serejo 1998). Caribbean Sea: Panama ( White 2011).
