Material examined. Stn. 2: 22.01.2008 —a fertile colony, 2–4 mm high, on sponge. Stn. 3: 01.04.2008 —a few sterile polyps, up to 5 mm high, on sponge. Stn. 6: 23– 24.03.2008 —numerous sterile polyps, up to 3 mm high, on sponge ( MHNG INVE 60977); 28.03.2008 —two sterile polyps, ca. 3 mm high, on sponge. Stn. 7: 25.03.2008 —a small, sterile colony, ca. 4 mm high, on sponge; 27.03.2008 —a few sterile polyps, 2–3 mm high, on serpulid tube.
Type locality. Ambon, Moluccas, Indonesia.

Distribution. Western Atlantic, Indian Ocean, western Pacific ( Calder 1988b), eastern Pacific ( Calder et al. 2003). The Caribbean records are summarized by Calder & Kirkendale (2005).
