Diagnosis. The species can be distinguished by the following characters: the male antenna is bipectinate, and filiform at terminal one-fourth, the pectinations are about three times the diameter of the shaft; the vertex is black; the hind tarsus of the male is about one-third to two-fifths the length of the tibia; the ocellus of the forewing is rounded, consists of a silvery inner ring, two short slivery lines, and two small black patches on both sides of CuA1; the ocellus of the hind wing is oval, white centrally encircled by greyish brown scales and a slivery ring. In the male genitalia, the fused socii are short and conoid; the apex of the tegumen has acute spines on the internal margin; the valvula and sacculus are narrow and long, the apex of the latter is hook-like; the aedeagus is bifurcate at terminal half, and one of the projection has several small teetch at apex; the cornuti are absent on the vesica. In the female genitalia, the right side of the anterior part of the ductus dursae is connected with the middle sclerite of the signum.
