Parasarcophaga cyrtophorae Cantrell, 1986 View in CoL
Morphological characters. Gena with setulae a mix of black and yellow/white. Occiput with at least one row of black setulae behind the ocular setae, with setulae only yellow/white ventrally. Prescutellar acrostichal setae present. Proepisternum bare. Body length 5–10 mm.
Geographical distribution. Australia (Queensland)—AUSTRALASIAN/OCEANIAN.
Biology. Sarcophaga cyrtophorae has been reared from egg sacs of the spider Cyrtophora moluccensis ( Cantrell 1986) .
Taxonomy. DNA barcode sequences of S. cyrtophorae have been deposited in both GenBank and BOLD.
