Type locality. Panteón Beach , Puerto Ángel, Oaxaca, México (15°39’50.36”N, 96°29’41.97”W) .

Type material. Twenty-six specimens. Holotype: as sagittal sections: UMAR PLAT-018 (reproductive structures in two slides; Panteón Beach, Oaxaca, southern Mexican Pacific ; under rocks, 2 m, Mar 2, 2013, Coll. MRS) . Paratypes: Twenty-four specimens as whole mounts: UMAR PLAT-019 A , 2 specs. (Panteón Beach, same as holotype); UMAR PLAT-020 A-E, 6 specs. (Estacahuite Beach, under rocks, 2 m, Oct 06, 2013, Coll. MRS); UMAR

PLAT-021 A-H, 9 specs. (Cacaluta Bay, under rocks, 10 m, May 07, 2013, Coll. MRS) ; UMAR PLAT-022 , 1 spec. (Dos Hermanas Beach, under rocks, 10 m, May 07, 2013, Coll. MRS) ; UMAR PLAT-023 A-E, 1 spec. juvenile and 5 specs. mature (Agua Blanca Beach, under rocks in tide pools, 0.5 m, Dec 02, 2013, coll. ESF, MRS, ATA). One specimen in histology sections , UMAR PLAT-024 , 1 spec. in frontal sections of reproductive structures in one slide (San Agustinillo, under rocks, 0.5 m, Mar 17, 2017, Coll. MRS) .
