The species has been reported from Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels and van der Laan 1985; Salazar Escobar 2005; Sanborn 2006b, 2007b, 2010). The species has been reported from Huila, Gigante in Colombia ( Salazar Escobar 2005).
