Diagnosis. Male. Length 5.6 mm. Postocular plate with golden pollinosity. Ocellar bristles equal in size to uppermost frontal bristles. Thorax with golden pollinosity. Three well-differentiated post-sutural dorsocentral bristles posteriorly and 1 smaller bristles anteriorly. Apical scutellar bristles absent. Legs dark brownish. Abdomen with silvery pollinosity on T1+2−3 (dorsally), golden pollinosity on T3 laterally, on T4 and T5 (dorsally and laterally). T1+2−4 with 2 pairs of lateral marginal bristles, T4 with 1 pair of median marginal bristles. ST5 with deep median cleft with margins almost parallel. Cercus straight in lateral view, with a dorsal subapical barb. Cercus with bristles ventrally only in distal third. Cerci with distal third broader than middle part in posterior view; parallel and with a distinct constriction mid length. Pregonite slender, slightly curved subapically, with pointed apex. Postgonite with expanded base, gradually narrowing to apex. Distiphallus with smooth ventral margins, two small apical spines, rounded apex and straight dorsal outline. Vesica symmetrical, with angular median projection of main branch; distal lobes well developed, placed laterally to main branch, triangular, membranous, with spines along margins.

Remarks. See under O. augusta , O. cyaniforceps and O. floricola . Female unknown.

Distribution. NEOTROPICAL. Colombia.

Biology. The type specimens were collected using a Van Someren-Rydon trap baited with chicken viscera and fish heads, placed at elevated sites (1,800–2,000 m.a.s.l.) of a rural and a semi-urban/rural areas surrounded by pastures and some shrubby remains, as described by Ramírez-Mora et al. (2012).
