Diagnosis. Ds-2 and Ds-3 on AD. OC with 2 Glps. Female with 4 Pgs, without Sgs. Tr I–IV with 1-1-1-1 setae; Bf I–IV with 2-2-2-2 setae; Tf I–IV with 4-4-2-2 setae; Gn I–IV with 5-4-3-3 setae; Tb I–IV with 5-5-5-5 setae; Ta I–IV with 3-3-4-3 dorsal setae. Lc II–IV with minute accessory process and comb. Idiosoma length 187 in holotype female. Idiosoma width 107 in holotype female. Gnathosoma length 87 in holotype female. Gnathosoma width 47 in holotype female. Ratio of gnathosoma to idiosoma 0.47 in female.
Remarks. The characteristics of this species are: reticulate dorsal plates, OC oblong, Sgs absent in female, and Ta III with 4 dorsal setae.The species resembles S. planus and S. ornatus in the coarsely reticulated dorsal plates. S. reticulatus differs from the latter two species by its oblong OC. Female is known.
Habitat. Littoral zone: Tidal beach sands and gravels.
Distribution. North Atlantic Ocean: Playa de Rodadero (Caribbean Sea) [ Colombia].
