Material examined. St 20b, 12/11/2009, 9h–12h, islet M'tzamboro, 12°39'30.18"S, 45° 0'42.76"E, coll. KUW fieldwork, scuba diving 10–15 m, collapsed edge reef, sandy slope pronounced, 1 ovigerous female (LC 4.3 mm), MNHN-Na 16057.

Distribution. Type locality Sulu Sea. Also known from Red Sea, Indian Ocean to Indonesia, Philippines, South China Sea (Nansha Islands), Japan, Marshall Islands.

Remarks. The only ovigerous female specimen agrees well with the previous descriptions and illustrations, it was collected with 2 ovigerous females of Cuapetes nilandensis ( Borradaile, 1915) (MNHN-Na 16058) at Station 20b. The species was not previously recorded from Mayotte with certainty.
