Main morphological characters

). Size 25–40
×
8–10 µm
in vivo
. Body lanceolate with narrowly to broadly rounded posterior body end. Two macronuclear nodules with a single micronucleus in between. Contractile vacuole terminal. Extrusomes rod-like, about 4–5 µm long, attached along whole length of oral bulge. Somatic ciliary pattern
Litonotus
-like; 4–5 right and 5 left kineties.
Distribution.
Litonotus minisculus
was found in an oligotrophic stream in the National Nature Reserve Rozsutec, Malá Fatra Mts (
Tirjaková 1997b
).
