A new species from the genus Gorochovitettix (Tetrigidae: Metrodorinae) from Thailand Author Tan, Ming Kai Author Artchawakom, Taksin text Zootaxa 2015 3990 3 444 450 journal article 39786 10.11646/zootaxa.3990.3.9 ee9ead89-f9bc-49e0-8f7d-77d655396506 1175-5326 236400 E3045A70-F83A-4CAA-811D-B96214600E42 Subfamily Metrodorinae Discussion. Gorochovitettix can be rightly placed under the subfamily Metrodorinae since it possesses the main diagnostic characters of the subfamily: pronotal lateral lobe that is directed outwards and obliquely truncated and with basitarsus and third segment of hind tarsus subequal in length ( Storozhenko & Pushkar, 2015 ). This is in spite of the fact that Gorochovitettix also resembles representatives from the subfamily Cladonotinae by frontal ridge (or scutellum) distinctively broader than scapus. Adding this genus to the current phylogeny of Tetrigidae could help to confirm the subfamily status of this newly-erected genus.
