Distribution and habitat.
New Ireland
: 1, 2.—General distribution: Eastern
Indonesia
east to
Papua New Guinea
and
Solomon Islands
. Found in lagoons and seaward coral reefs, commensal with sea anemones,
2–12 m
depth. Marine.
Remark.
Probably a hybrid between
Amphiprion chrysopterus
and
A. sandaracinos
.
