In Utah , it has been explored for its potential as a managed pollinator of commercial sunflower ( Tepedino & Frohlich 1982 ). Megachile pugnata is commonly found in trap-nests placed in both MSU campus, East Lansing, Michigan and prairie restorations in the LP (JG, pers. obs.).
