Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition, derived from the type locality.

Diagnosis. Both sexes resemble similar congener Nops meridionalis , which have a similar abdominal pattern as in figure 6I, the PLS longer than PMS and the posterior unpaired claws small ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5 ); but can be distinguished by a straight embolus, shorter than palpal tibia ( Fig. 64B, D View FIGURE 64 ) in males, and females can be distinguished by a weakly sclerotized lep, unremarkable ess and unsclerotized lateral margins of anterior plate ( Fig. 64F View FIGURE 64 ).

Description. Male (holotype): Carapace orange ( Fig. 64A View FIGURE 64 ). Chelicerae, labium, and legs yellowish orange, coxae and trochanters lighter. Endites and sternum yellowish orange. Abdomen light gray, dorsal pattern as in figure 6I, lighter ventrally. Anal tubercle and spinnerets light gray. Total length 7.9. Carapace 4.8 long, 3.8 wide. Sternum 4.2 long, 3.2 wide. Leg measurements: I: 3.8; II: 3.75; III: 3.3; IV: 3.95. Posterior unpaired claws small, as in other three‒clawed spiders. PLS longer than PMS. Palp with straight embolus, shorter than palpal tibia ( Figs 63G View FIGURE 63 ; 64B‒D); embolar tip with a wide cut on prolateral side and two long extensions ( Fig. 63H‒I View FIGURE 63 ).

Female (paratype): Carapace, chelicerae, labium, coxae, legs, endites and sternum as in male. Abdomen as in male ( Fig. 64E View FIGURE 64 ). Anal tubercle and spinnerets whitish yellow. Total length 8.3. Carapace 5.0 long, 4.1 wide. Sternum 4.5 long, 3.4 wide. Leg measurements: I: 3.9; II: 3.8; III: 3.4; IV: 4.05. Posterior unpaired claws and PLS as in male. External genital area with weakly sclerotized anterior plate and lep, unremarkable ess ( Fig. 64F View FIGURE 64 ). Internal genitalia with wide invagination on receptaculum and uterus externus with narrow base ( Figs 63J‒L View FIGURE 63 ; 64G).
