in the Carnegie Museum of Natural History (CMNH, Pittsburgh). Portanus chelatus DeLong, 1976: 38 View in CoL . Synonym proposed by Carvalho & Cavichioli (2009: 30). Paraportanus marica Felix & Mejdalani, 2016: 402 View in CoL , syn. nov. Type locality: Restinga de Maricá, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil.
Holotype deposited in DZRJ. Metacephalus marica ( Felix & Mejdalani, 2016) : Souza et al. (2017: 178).
Study of the terminalia of the male holotype of Metacephalus longicornis indicated that it is the senior synonym of M. marica .
