Remarks.
Replacement name for Melanopsis transiens Cerulli-Irelli, 1914, non Blanckenhorn, 1897. Girotti (1972: 232) considered Melanopsis transiens Cerulli-Irelli, 1914 a junior synonym of " Melanopsis affinis Férussac”, which is not an available name.
