Specimens examined: Holotype: “ ♀ UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, Sharjah Desert Park , 01– 30. XI. 2008, pitfall traps, A. van Harten [collector] ( UFES # 130871 )”. Paratype: 1♀, ar-Rafah, 16.x.2009–31.iii.2010, PT, leg. AvH (UFES 129692).

Description: Holotype female ( Plate 15 View Plates 15–18 ). Body 3.46 mm. LFW 0.23 mm.

Colours: Head dark castaneous, lighter posteriorly; metasoma, flagellomeres II–XIII, propodeum, profemur, mesofemur dark castaneous; thorax, scape, pedicel, first flagellomere, mandible, palpi, tegula, coxae, trochanters, metafemur, tibiae, tarsi castaneous.

Head ( Plate 17 View Plates 15–18 ): Mandible with seven sharpened apical teeth, with upper and lower edge of inner margin serrulate, lower corner of right mandible with translucid and very thin subrectangular projection. Clypeus very short, apical margin almost straight in dorsal view, without lateral lobe; median clypeal carina inconspicuous, fused with median lobe. Antennal foramina distance more than antennal foramen diameter. Antenna with insertion as high as clypeal carina, with short and sub-erect pubescence; scape long and curved, with same diameter along its extension; pedicel longer than wide, more than twice longer than first flagellomere; flagellomeres longer than wide. Eye elliptical, small, placed dorsally. Frons polished, slightly punctured, without setae. First five antennomeres in ratio of about 11:8:3:4:4. LH 1.0 × WH. WF 2.0 × HE. WF 0.66 × WH. OOL 2.08 × WOT. VOL 0.5 × HE. Distance of posterior ocellus to vertex crest 2.5 × DAO. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; ocelli tiny; ocellar triangle broad. Vertex almost straight. Occipital carina present. Gena polished. Hypostomal carina forming acute angle. Palpal formula 6:3, segments with circular cross section, equally wide, apices of palpomeres with some short setae.

Mesosoma ( Plates 16, 18 View Plates 15–18 ): Pronotal disc 1.21 × as long as wide; coriaceous, almost rectangular; anterior slope of pronotal disc inclined in profile. Mesoscutum coriaceous, short and as long as mesoscutellum; notaulus absent; parapsidal signum absent. Mesoscutellum coriaceous, touching propodeal disc; mesoscutellar sulcus very narrow, arched. Propodeal disc 1.17 × as long as wide; coriaceous, without discal carinae; sublateral carina absent; lateral carina present and conspicuous; posterior carina complete; spiracle narrow, placed at lateral carina anteriorly. Declivity of propodeum coriaceous, without median carina. Lateral surface of propodeum coriaceous. Prosternum conspicuous. Mesopleuron with acropleural sulcus continuous with mesopleural suture, without fovea; mesopleural suture with inner margin not striate.

Wings: Micropterous, reaching anterior transverse carina of propodeal disc. Legs: Profemur not dilated. Trochanters clearly strong. Spur of protibia strong. Tarsi elongate. Tarsal claw simple and arched, with small basal tooth.

Metasoma. 2.14 × longer than wide; coriaceous; petiole with ventral keel-shaped elevation; tergites I–II with pair of conspicuous lateral spiracles; sternite II with antero-lateral flap projected to petiole.

Remarks: This species is promptly recognized among all species of Glenosema by the extremely reduced size of the ocelli. They are very similar to the surrounded punctures and almost indistinguishable from the surface.

Distribution: United Arab Emirates.

Etymology: The specific epithet mina Latin refers the tiny size of ocelli.
