Status at New Ireland. First recorded from northern New Ireland by Dawson (1985: 41).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia and Philippines east to Samoa, south to Queensland ( Australia) and New Caledonia. Found in coral reefs on live brain corals and sponges, 0–32 m depth. Marine.
