Xylocopa californica arizonensis is abundant and widely distributed in the northern regions of Mexico and the western USA. According to our records, this species is the most prevalent Xylocopa species within the BCP, occurring across all of its distinct ecoregions. In recent surveys, the BBPT collected 56 specimens (30 ♂, 26 ♀) (Supplementary material 1). Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 152 .
